Vanilla Realms protects your builds with land claims and keeps PvP off by default

How do you claim land?

1. Hold a golden shovel and right-click two opposite corners of the area you want.
2. Or stand on your land and type /claim create (or /createclaim) to claim the area around you.
3. /claimslist (or /claims) lists your claims and your claim block balance.
4. /abandonclaim gives up the claim you are standing in, and /claim abandon all gives up every claim. You get all the blocks back.

• Claims work in the survival overworld. Claiming is turned off in the Nether, the End, the arena worlds and the Smith Legion.
• The smallest claim is 5 blocks wide and 25 blocks in area.

How many claim blocks do you get?

• 2,000 to start. Every new player begins with 2,000 claim blocks.
• No playtime growth. Claim blocks do not build up by playing.
• Vote ranks add a one-time bonus at each rank-up, from 50 at Newbie+ to 3,000 at Cartographer. The full list is in the free ranks guide.
• The store sells extra claim blocks.

How do you let friends build in your claim?

• /trust <player> gives a friend access to your claim. Add access, container, permission or build after the name to set the level.
• /trustlist shows who has access, and /untrust <player> or /untrust all takes it away.
• /banfromclaim <player> keeps someone out, /unbanfromclaim lets them back, and /kickfromclaim sends them out.

What does a claim protect?

• Blocks: nobody you have not trusted can build or break inside your claim.
• Chests and other containers, so nothing can be stolen.
• Animals, including horses, donkeys and llamas.
• Doors, trapdoors, fence gates, buttons and levers.
• Fire does not spread or do damage inside claims, and explosions are blocked (owners can change this with /claimexplosions).
• Pistons cannot move blocks across claim edges, and villager trading and lecterns inside a claim need the owner's trust.

Do claims expire?

Only if the owner stays offline. A claim is removed after this many days of owner inactivity, based on its size in claim blocks:

Claims owned by players with the Wolf or Cartographer rank never expire.

Is PvP on in Vanilla Realms?

PvP is off by default. Type /pvp to opt in, or use /arena and /duel. Claims protect builds from griefing.

• /pvp on and /pvp off set your choice, /pvp toggle flips it, and /pvp status shows it. Your choice is remembered between sessions.
• While your PvP is off, you cannot hit other players and they cannot hit you.
• A PvP hit tags both players for 15 seconds. While tagged, teleport commands such as /spawn, /home, /warp and /rtp are refused.
• /arena takes you to the PvP arena world: safe PvP with no item drops, no XP loss and no durability damage on death.
• /duel challenges another player to a duel in the duel arena world.

Does the world reset and wipe claims?

• The main survival world never resets, so your builds and claims stay.
• A new crate season every two months, first Saturday at 1 PM Central. The season resets currencies and gear stats; crate profile and prestige carry over.
• The resource overworld resets every 7 days, and the resource Nether and End every 30 days.
• The overworld border is 70,000 blocks, and the Nether and End 30,000.
