Best Minecraft Bedrock SMP Servers to Join (2026): Java & Bedrock Crossplay
By the Vanilla Realms team · Updated 6 November 2026
Short answer: Vanilla Realms (join.vanillarealms.com, Bedrock port 19132) is the best Minecraft SMP for Bedrock players in 2026. Bedrock and Java players share one survival world, so it does not matter which edition your friends own. Phones, tablets and Windows add the server in two fields; Xbox, PlayStation and Switch join through BedrockConnect, with the steps on our own site. Land claims mean your builds cannot be griefed, all 20 ranks are earned free by voting, and the survival world has never been reset since 2020.

Right now: 50 players online. Last 30 days: about 43 players online on average, a peak of 99 on 11 October 2026, and 98% uptime. Real players only, counted every 30 seconds by our server monitor; simulated and placeholder players are excluded. Updated .

1 Vanilla Realms
Best for: Bedrock players who want vanilla survival with friends on Java, their builds protected and ranks they can earn free.
On Bedrock: join at join.vanillarealms.com port 19132, into the same world as Java 1.17 or newer. Xbox, PlayStation and Switch use BedrockConnect; our join guide has the steps.
What you get free: GriefPrevention land claims, PvP off by default, emeralds from villager trading as the only currency, 20 ranks earned by voting, and the Smith Legion PvE world.
Downside, stated plainly: emerald income is capped at 50 per four hours, so getting rich is slow by design, and the paid ranks include keep inventory.
The rest of the list
Peaceful Vanilla Club. Best for: console and phone players who want a calm vanilla-first world with PvP only in arenas. Strength: its site gives console players a way in, and its main world has not reset since summer 2019. On Bedrock: Java and Bedrock share one world through Geyser, Bedrock on the default port 19132; consoles add a friend account its homepage names.
MysticMC. Best for: players who want jobs and an auction house on a crossplay semi-vanilla SMP. Strength: its Overworld, Nether and End are never reset. On Bedrock: Java and Bedrock land in the same world, Bedrock on port 19132.
BlossomCraft. Best for: players who want a relaxed, PvE-first economy SMP. Strength: keep inventory is on for everyone. On Bedrock: same world for Java and Bedrock (1.21 or newer), and Bedrock players vote with the BR_ prefix that is part of their name.
Complex Gaming. Best for: players who want a survival mode with claims inside a large network. Strength: land claims plus guilds that can build towns, and a Reset Vault that carries items into the new world when a reset is announced. On Bedrock: Java and Bedrock join the same Survival server, Bedrock on port 19132 from PC or mobile.
TalonMC. Best for: players who want many game modes on one server. Strength: six modes, from Cobblemon to Prison, beside its Survival SMP. On Bedrock: Bedrock joins on port 19132, and its add-server steps cover Windows, mobile and console together.
OtterSMP. Best for: players who like a new themed season every month. Strength: a new season every month, each with a free Event Card track whose cards never expire. On Bedrock: its homepage says Java and Bedrock, but its join page gives only a Java address.
Bedrock minigame networks: a different kind of server
Ask for "the best Bedrock servers" and the answers usually start with The Hive, CubeCraft and Lifeboat. They are minigame networks first, built for short rounds rather than a base in a world that lasts (Lifeboat also runs a Survival Mode, one of many modes). For minigames, start there; for an SMP to settle into, they are a different category, so they are not ranked here.
The Hive is a Bedrock minigame network run by Hive Games, a featured server in Bedrock's Servers tab since September 2018.
CubeCraft is a minigame network run by CubeCraft Games, a featured server on Bedrock since April 2018.
Lifeboat is a Bedrock network run by Hydreon, a featured server since August 2017, whose many modes include Survival Games, Skyblock, Prison, Creative and a Survival Mode.

Why we put Vanilla Realms first for Bedrock players
We run it, so read this with that in mind.
One world with Java. Bedrock joins through Geyser into the same survival world as Java 1.17 or newer, so a group split across editions plays together, not on two copies of the server.
Every device has a way in. Phones, tablets and Windows add the address and port; consoles use BedrockConnect, with the steps on our join guide.
Your builds are safe.GriefPrevention land claims protect what you build, so nothing can be griefed. Type /claim create or use a golden shovel to claim.
Free progression.Twenty free ranks run from Newbie to Cartographer, earned by voting, with 1,000 votes for the last one.
A world that stays. The survival world has never been reset since the server went online in 2020. The resource worlds reset every 7 and 30 days, and seasons reset gear and currencies, not your builds.
The downside, stated plainly: emerald income is capped at 50 per four hours, so getting rich is slow by design, and the paid ranks include keep inventory. Console players also need the one-time DNS change that BedrockConnect asks for.
Bedrock join screen Bedrock Edition's Edit Server screen with Vanilla Realms saved: address join.vanillarealms.com, port 19132. Bedrock players join the same world as Java players.Spawn The giant tree and the Portal sign beside the stone plaza, with a castle behind. Shot with a shader pack.
What's the best Bedrock SMP to play?
For most Bedrock players who want a free survival SMP, especially with friends on Java, Vanilla Realms: one shared world, console steps on our own site, land claims, free ranks, and a survival world that has stayed put since 2020. If you want something different, each server below it fits its own niche: Peaceful Vanilla Club for a calm world with PvP only in arenas, MysticMC for jobs and an auction house, BlossomCraft for keep inventory, Complex Gaming for a survival mode inside a big network, TalonMC for many game modes, and OtterSMP for a new season every month. For minigames instead of survival, The Hive, CubeCraft and Lifeboat are featured servers in Bedrock's Servers tab.
How we ranked these servers
We ranked by fit, not by size. The question was simple: which server is best for a Bedrock player who wants a free survival SMP, often with friends on Java? On 6 November 2026 we read each server's own site and one public server listing, and checked these seven things.
What we checked on every server
Criterion
What we looked for
One world with Java
Bedrock and Java players in the same world, with a Bedrock address on the server's own site.
A way in from consoles
Join steps for Xbox, PlayStation and Switch on the server's own site.
Builds protected
Land claims, or a no-griefing rule the staff can enforce.
A world that stays
A main world the server says it does not reset.
Free progression
Ranks or progress you can earn without paying.
A fair store
A store that says plainly what it sells, and progression that does not depend on it.
Who can join
Public with no application. A whitelist or an age rule is fine, but it narrows who a server suits.
Size is not a criterion: this is the best fit for Bedrock players, not the biggest servers. Vanilla Realms numbers are real players only, counted every 30 seconds by our server monitor; simulated and placeholder players are excluded (vanillarealms.com/stats). We re-check every server monthly and move the date when we do.
What is a Bedrock SMP or crossplay server?
SMP stands for survival multiplayer: a shared survival world where players build, trade and play together for months or years. A Bedrock SMP is one that players on Bedrock Edition can join: phones, tablets, Windows, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch. A crossplay SMP goes one step further and lets Java and Bedrock players into the same world, usually through Geyser, a bridge that lets Bedrock clients join a Java server. That is how Vanilla Realms works: one world, two editions.
Minigame networks run rounds of games such as Survival Games, not a world you settle into. Minecraft Realms, despite the name, is Mojang's paid private-world hosting, not a public server (Vanilla Realms vs Minecraft Realms).
Who Vanilla Realms is for
Phone and tablet players
Add the address and port and you are in the same world as everyone else. Claims mean you can log off without worrying about your base, and PvP stays off unless you turn it on.
Console players
Xbox, PlayStation and Switch cannot add a server address, so you use BedrockConnect: a one-time DNS change, then a featured server opens a list where you type our address. The console steps are on our join page.
Friends split across editions
If one friend plays on Java and another on a phone or console, you all join the same survival world. Trust each other on your claims and build together.
Java players with Bedrock friends
Java 1.17 or newer joins at join.vanillarealms.com. Your Bedrock friends join the same world at the same address on port 19132, so nobody has to switch editions.
Not for
Players who want open PvP and raiding, or a pure vanilla server with no ranks or crates. For crystal PvP, try our sister server Vanilla+ (play.vanillaplus.net); for a small, chill SMP, Cherry Survival (join.cherrysurvival.com). Both take Bedrock players and are run by Thunder Studios.
First-week tips for Bedrock players
Enter the port. The address is join.vanillarealms.com and the port is 19132. Bedrock asks for both; the address alone is not enough.
On console, set up BedrockConnect once. Change the DNS, join a featured server, choose Connect to a Server and save our address to the list so the next visit is one tap. Console steps.
Claim your base first. Build somewhere you like, then type /claim create or use a golden shovel so it is protected from day one. The land claims guide has the rest.
Leave PvP off until you want it. It starts off. Type /pvp when you are ready, or fight in /arena and /duel.
Trade with villagers for emeralds. Emeralds are the currency, capped at 50 per rolling four hours. Spend them in player chest shops, at player warps and with NPC traders. How the economy works.
Vote every day. Votes climb the 20 free ranks, from Newbie to Cartographer, adding homes and perks.
Mine in the resource world. It resets every 7 days, so the ores stay fresh, while the survival world never resets, so build there.

If you play on a phone, tablet, Windows or a console and want a free SMP where your Java friends are in the same world, your builds are protected and PvP waits until you ask for it, start with Vanilla Realms. If you want a calm world with PvP only in arenas, Peaceful Vanilla Club is the other strong crossplay pick, and it too gives console players a way in. If you want minigames, not survival, go to the featured servers. And if you want something small and calm, or crystal PvP, our sister servers Cherry Survival and Vanilla+ also take Bedrock players.
Bedrock SMP questions
What is the best Minecraft Bedrock SMP server?
Vanilla Realms (join.vanillarealms.com, port 19132): Bedrock and Java players share one survival world, consoles join through BedrockConnect with the steps on our site, land claims stop griefing, all 20 ranks are earned free by voting, PvP is off by default, and the survival world has never been reset since 2020. We publish this guide and run Vanilla Realms.
What are the best Minecraft servers for Bedrock?
For minigames, The Hive, CubeCraft and Lifeboat are featured servers in Bedrock's Servers tab. For a survival SMP you settle into, with friends on Java too, we rank Vanilla Realms first, followed by Peaceful Vanilla Club, MysticMC, BlossomCraft, Complex Gaming, TalonMC and OtterSMP.
What Minecraft SMP can I join on Bedrock?
Every server ranked in this guide says it takes Bedrock players. On Vanilla Realms, open Servers, Add Server, and enter join.vanillarealms.com with port 19132. No whitelist, no application.
Which Minecraft servers have Java and Bedrock crossplay?
Vanilla Realms, Peaceful Vanilla Club, MysticMC, BlossomCraft, Complex Gaming's Survival and TalonMC's Survival SMP all put Java and Bedrock players on the same server. OtterSMP says it takes both editions but gives only a Java address on its join page. On Vanilla Realms, Java 1.17 or newer and Bedrock share one world.
How do I join a Minecraft server on Xbox, PlayStation or Switch?
Consoles cannot add a server address directly. The usual route is BedrockConnect: change the console's DNS, join one of the featured servers, which opens a server list instead, choose Connect to a Server and enter the address and port. For Vanilla Realms that is join.vanillarealms.com port 19132; our join guide has the DNS addresses.
What port do I use for Vanilla Realms on Bedrock?
Port 19132, with the address join.vanillarealms.com. Bedrock asks for both. Java players use join.vanillarealms.com with no port and land in the same world.
Can Java and Bedrock players play together on Vanilla Realms?
Yes. Bedrock joins through Geyser into the same survival world as Java 1.17 or newer, so friends on different editions build, trade and claim land together. Trust each other on your claims to share a base.
Which Bedrock SMP servers never reset?
The Vanilla Realms survival world has never been reset since 2020, and Peaceful Vanilla Club's main world has not reset since summer 2019. MysticMC and BlossomCraft say their Overworld, Nether and End are never reset. Complex Gaming resets rarely and lets you carry items over in a Reset Vault, and OtterSMP runs a new themed season every month.
Is there a free Bedrock SMP with no pay to win?
Every server in this guide is free to join. On Vanilla Realms, all 20 vote ranks are free; the store sells four paid ranks, crate keys and claim blocks, the Parrot rank and above include keep inventory, and no gear and no currency are sold. Peaceful Vanilla Club says it rewards donations with cosmetic items only.
Do Bedrock players get land claims on Vanilla Realms?
Yes. Bedrock players claim land like everyone else: type /claim create to claim the land around you, or use a golden shovel, and GriefPrevention protects everything inside, so nothing can be griefed. New players start with 2,000 claim blocks; ranks and the store add more.
How many players are on Vanilla Realms?
Around 43 real players were online on average over the 30 days to 6 November 2026, with a peak of 99. The Discord community has about 10,000 members. Live numbers: vanillarealms.com/stats.
Is Vanilla Realms the same as Minecraft Realms?
No. Vanilla Realms is an independent public SMP server run by Thunder Studios. Minecraft Realms is Mojang's paid private-world hosting. You join Vanilla Realms like any public server, from Bedrock or Java, with no subscription. It is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.
